Rick has been involved in industrial mechanical design for over 25 years and has managed projects throughout the world (6 continents). Although experienced in multiple mechanical formats, Rick has broad experience in Industrial Ventilation with extensive experience in Food Plant Ventilation. In addition to his responsibilities at AVID, Rick is also the Founder and President of Quality Engineered Solutions Ltd. in Canada. Rick holds multiple Professional Engineering Licenses in both the USA and Canada.

Rick’s passions outside of work include snowboarding, sailing, and cycling.

As Chief Operating Officer, Rob is responsible for all facets of AVID's activities. Rob works with our team of professionals to take projects from concept design stages to installation and commissioning and facilitate client needs for successful project completion.

Rob has worked in the industrial process industry since 1989. His career has spanned on-site inspection and testing, process equipment application and sales, manufacturing operations management, and agriculture.

Outside of work, Rob enjoys family time, fishing, sailing, and managing the family maple syrup operation.

Martin has over 20 years of experience in the HVAC industry as a Mechanical Engineer. He worked in the industrial refrigeration industry, providing refrigeration systems, HVAC, and processing plants for the food, beverage, chemical, and pharmaceutical industries. Most systems were ammonia-based using direct injection (or dry evaporator) systems oriented to energy savings. HVAC and ventilation systems were oriented towards processing, exhaust, material transportation (pneumatic), clean rooms, process air flows, and air distribution. Part of the refrigeration systems provided piping systems for water, chilled water, brine distribution, and ammonia piping. Martin also worked on residential and commercial buildings such as private residences, hotels, condominiums, restaurants, medical centers, clinics, schools, and laboratories.

Director of Business Development Mike has been in the customer service industry for over 30 years.  He has extensive experience in management, marketing, and sales from a vast range of industries. Mike utilizes this knowledge in his role as Director of Sales and Marketing. He brings an ‘outside of the box’ way of thinking to the team and as such, is capable of brainstorming solutions in conjunction with the engineers to meet the needs of potential clients.

In his spare time, Mike enjoys hiking and camping with his wife April and their 4 children.
